Sabreena “Bree” Covington

Sabreena “Bree” Covington is a native of Baltimore, MD who moved to Texas with her family several years ago.  Bree holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math & Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Management and is in a leadership role at a tech company in the North Dallas area.  She is also an alumnae of Leadership Texas for Women and a member of Women’s Nonprofit Alliance.

Bree has enjoyed a long career in Finance and Human Resources but is also passionate about sharing her faith, community service and giving back.  She is a member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship in Plano, TX where she serves as a Servant Leader for the Youth Ministry and Family Life Team.

In 2017, Bree launched her heart felt project and ministry: Breaking Chains focused on helping women and girls break generational strongholds to free themselves on their path to fulfilling their purpose.

Through the ministry, Bree shares her personal testimony to encourage others. The journey led to other speaking engagements and networking with some extraordinary people. As a result, Bree founded Sisters Breaking Chains Together a ministry with a mission to Renew, Redirect, Rebuild and Restore women, girls and mother/daughter relationships.

Bree’s family and friends have been the wind beneath her wings and continue to champion her in this ministry. She is thankful to God for helping her to realize that her past wasn’t a punishment, but an intentional part of His plan to make her stronger and enable her to share her passions and testimony to help others.

Given the negative messages and influences prevalent in today’s culture, it's so important that we help provide a path for women and girls to discover their God-centered identity, with a supportive community in place to encourage them and build them up.
